What is a Charity Place?

We’ve partnered with our charities partners to offer a limited number of Charity Place Entries—providing guaranteed access to the race in exchange for fundraising support. Once you hit your fundraising goal, your chosen charity will cover your race registration fee!

By securing a Charity Place, you’ll gain an entry while making a meaningful impact by raising vital funds for our charity partners.

How Much Do I Need to Raise?

To claim a Charity Place, runners must commit to raising a minimum of $800 for one of our official charity partners below.

How to Apply for a Charity Place

  1. Choose a Charity – Browse our Charity Partners below and select a cause that inspires you.
  2. Submit Your Application – Apply for a Charity Place with your chosen charity.
  3. Start Fundraising – If you are a successful applicant, you will be able to start working towards your fundraising target for your charity.

RMHC SEQ provides essential accommodation and support program to families with children who are ill or injured. For more than 30 years they have been helping families stay together and by their child’s side during treatment, providing a comfortable home away from home through their toughest times. RMHC SEQ can accommodate up to 148 families each night at one of their three houses and since opening, they have supported nearly 70,000 families.

RMHC SEQ is proud to be the major beneficiary for the Brisbane Marathon Festival, which includes the RMHC SEQ 2km race. Events such as the Brisbane Marathon Festival are essential for helping fund their mission to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. They couldn’t do it without your help.

Join Breast Cancer Trials in the upcoming Brisbane Marathon and help find new and improved treatments to save lives from breast cancer. Every day, 58 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer, but by supporting clinical trials research you can give them hope and stop this disease taking the ones we love. Because together, we want to live in a world where NO MORE lives are cut short by breast cancer.

Leukaemia Foundation

The Leukaemia Foundation offers wraparound health services, powered by a team of trained healthcare professionals who provide emotional and practical support. We fund leading-edge research, translating to life-saving new treatments and rapid access to clinical trials. We also campaign for change, pushing for better policies and equitable access to treatment and care. Every step, every push, every drop of sweat will bring us closer to a world where no-one loses their life to blood cancer.

Lifeline

Lifeline Australia is a National charity providing any Australian experiencing emotional distress with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. They exist so no one has to face their darkest moments alone and rely on community support to answer more calls, reduce waiting times, and ensure any Australian who needs their support knows where and how to find it. Each year, Lifeline receives over one million contacts from people in crisis, with someone calling 13 11 14 every 30 seconds.

Running for Premature Babies

Founded by a grieving mum after losing all three of her prematurely born triplets, Running for Premature Babies provides urgently needed lifesaving equipment to hospitals around Australia. To date the charity has raised over $9 million, helping save the lives of over 10,000 babies.


Use your run to make a tangible difference to the lives of sick and premature babies. Fundraise for cutting edge neonatal equipment for hospitals in need around Victoria and the rest of Australia, and you'll help save a baby's life.
