Transfers & Cancellations

Online entries are available until 5pm Wednesday 28 May 2025.

After online entries close, entries will be subject to the availability of races but can only be made in person at Registration at the location and times below.

If a distance is sold out there will be no late entries available at Registration. Please note we do not have a waitlist for a distance that is sold out.

Transfers to another distance

Transfers of distance are subject to availability. If a distance is sold out there will be no transfers available to that distance.

  • Prior to 5pm Monday 21 April 2025 you can transfer up or down a distance online by logging into your Active account
  • After 5pm Monday 21st April 2025, transfers to another distance can only be done in person at Registration. There is no fee but you must pay the difference in entry fee (at that time) if you go up in distance. There is no refund for going down a distance. 

Please note there is no ability to Transfer to another event.

Transfer to another person

Transfers to another person must be within the same distance. If the new participant wants to change distance also then they must do that in a separate step (see above).

Prior to 5pm Monday 21st April 2025 transfers to another person can be done online by going to your Active account and selecting Transfer to another person. See the steps below. There is no transfer fee if you do this prior to 5pm Monday 21st April 2025.

Steps to Transfer to Another Person (prior to 5pm Monday 22 April 2025)

  1. Log into your Active account and access My Events
  2. Select Brisbane Marathon Festival and click transfer registration
  3. Enter the new participant’s email address in the email address field
  4. Enter the recipient’s email address again to confirm at Confirm email address
  5. Click Submit
  6. The new participant will receive an email inviting them to enter and pay the registration fee*
  7. Your registration will be cancelled, and you will then be refunded the entry fee.

* Please note the new participant enters and pays for their entry before your credit is processed and pays the current registration fee (not your original amount).

After midnight Monday 22 April 2025 transfers to another person cannot be done online. It must be done in person by either the original person who entered or the person to whom you are giving your entry. If you are the person receiving the entry you must have a a copy of the registration confirmation email of the original participant who entered (this ensures legitimacy of the original entry). There is a $15 transfer fee. Firstly, collect the Bib from Registration (or bring it with you if it was posted) then proceed to the Transfers desk for assistance. The person receiving the entry will be given a new numbered Bib and the original Bib will be deregistered. This must be done in person during the following dates/times:

Thursday 29th May 2025, 12:00pm-3:00pm
Friday 30th May 2025, 10:00am-5:00pm
Saturday 1st June 2025, 9:00am-4:00pm

If the person who receives the transferred entry then wants to transfer to another distance, then the same rules mentioned above apply. That is, if a distance is sold out there will be no transfers available to that distance and you must run in the distance entered by the original person.

Please note after 5pm Monday 21st April 2025 the Transfer transaction is a matter between the two persons offering and accepting the transfer – Atlas Events is not involved in that transaction, including charging or refunding. Accordingly please be very careful that the person from whom you are receiving the entry has a genuine entry. You can check with us at info@myatlasevents.com.au for verification.

Cancellations & Refunds

Where eligible, the following refund fees are applicable for cancellations, depending on when the request is received.

  • Refund of 50% up to 5pm, Monday 24th March 2025
  • Refund of 25% up to 5pm, Monday 21 April 2025
  • No Refunds after 5pm, Monday 21st April 2025
