Welcoming Rio Tinto as Naming Rights Partner of the Brisbane Half Marathon

That’s why we’re proud to welcome Rio Tinto as the Naming Rights Partner of the Half Marathon at the EVA Air Brisbane Marathon Festival, with the distance officially becoming the Rio Tinto Half Marathon from 2026 to 2028.

The Half Marathon is a cornerstone of Brisbane Marathon Festival weekend. It’s consistently the largest distance, the first to sell out, and a highlight for runners and spectators alike. Each year, it brings together a diverse field, from those tackling their first 21.1km to experienced and elite athletes chasing personal bests on Brisbane’s fast and scenic course.

Partnering with Rio Tinto allows us to continue enhancing that experience, while maximising participation, inclusivity and community.

The 2026 EVA Air Brisbane Marathon Festival will take place on Sunday 7 June. We are excited to see the Rio Tinto Half Marathon continue to grow as one of Australia’s must-do races. With spots filling quickly, runners are encouraged to register early to secure their place in this iconic event.
